Hello! I'm Rachel, the potter behind Superbloom Pottery. What started as a creative hobby alongside my full-time career as the director of professional learning for a small education consulting company has blossomed into an obsession for making art in functional pieces. Clay has become the perfect canvas for my love of nature, geometry, and Chicago.

The name Superbloom comes from those rare desert phenomena when conditions align perfectly, causing wildflowers to bloom in extraordinary abundance. For me, pottery is full of superbloom moments. The acts of throwing, trimming, and decorating a pot, seeing pieces for the first time after a glaze firing, and watching someone else admire and appreciate my ceramics each bring abundant delight.
